A Brief Introduction
Sinnington Local History Group was formed in 2010 by a small number of local residents with an interest to research, collate and make available information on all aspects of the history and village life of Sinnington.
The primary objective of this project is that it is intended to benefit those with a desire to learn more of the village and its residents and to enjoy its history, buildings and environs both past and present.
Monthly evening meetings are held and guest speakers are introduced to enhance knowledge and bring along their own experiences to help with progress. Occasionally, weekend ‘drop-in’ sessions are held in the Village Hall to illustrate what has been done and to seek additional information and support from the community.
In the future, it is planned that the village will have its own web-site for up to date information about events and developments.
