Hannah Ingleby - My View
I’ve really enjoyed my time at Beck Isle Museum Of Rural Life. Everybody has been really helpful and welcoming since my first day and I’ll definitely miss arriving to warm smiles and cheerful greetings.
I’ve learnt a great deal whilst being here and not only historically. I’ve never felt confident enough to speak to people whom I’ve never met before, but since being here I’ve spoken to customers and volunteers alike. I now know how to research into the lives of soldiers of WWI and their families, how to work a Columbian Printing Press and I also know what goes on behind the scenes within museums.
Working at Beck Isle Museum Of Rural Life has been a positive and enjoyable experience and I hope that I can find the time to volunteer as often as possible.
